“I am a missionary! The Lord calls me! I can do it!” the missionaries dauntlessly cried out. This powerful chanting brought them to disclose the new “me” when they had conquered their fears and weaknesses as the challenges and obstacles were thrown at them during the SUPER (Spiritual Unity and Physical Endurance Reinforcement) Training in the picturesque scenery in the island of Puerto Galera, Mindoro on February 20-22, 2017.
Spearheaded by Pastor Jun Suk Jin, SUPER Training Coordinator, the missionaries together with the 1000MM Director, Associate Directors, campus missionaries and other staff left for Mindoro at the early morning of February 20. After 4 hours of land travel and almost 2 hours of ocean trip, the missionaries safely arrived at one of the most visited beaches in Mindoro blessed with such a favorable weather of sunny day. The missionaries took a short minute of rest after arrival and immediately began the training. It started off with PT(Physical training) with different positions and executions. Despite the scorching heat of the sun, the missionaries faced the challenge and successfully completed. Yet, they learned to gain strength from the only source of light, the Almighty Father. During the second day, the missionaries experienced the breathtaking hiking at one of the high mountains of Mindoro. The trail became tougher than they had expected for the rain showered at the early part of their hike. As soon as the missionaries reached the peak of that mountain, all hardships and fears were paid out at the cost of gazing the magnificent landscape of the island of Mindoro, one of God’s amazing creations.
Consequently, the missionaries were paid off with a high price of success after how many days of extreme physical challenge and refreshing spiritual rejuvenation. Success that neither money can afford. The success of learning new perspectives of life, creating new rapport among fellow missionaries, conquering fears and weaknesses, and at the top of all, drawing to an intimate relationship with Jesus Christ-all these were the harvests of securing and entrusting our precious lives to our all-powerful Creator and Redeemer. Above all, His mighty hand is the haven of hope for all those who fully trust in Him.
