Fifty-five (55) vibrant young and committed individuals from the different realms of the world came to volunteer themselves for a one-year service to God as the 49th batch missionary trainees. The journey had commenced at 8:30 in the bright morning of February 6, 2017 with the presence of the Directors and other staff of the movement.
The time has come to welcome the new set of missionary warriors engaging themselves to the training that will equip them with the vital skills, proper usage of weapons (spiritual weapons), and unwavering faith that will enable them to conquer victory in the battle field. The new set of trainees consists of eleven (11) Koreans, one (1) Zambian, one (1) Indonesian and forty-two (42) Filipinos, eleven (11) from NPUC, nineteen (19) from CPUC and twelve (12) from SPUC.
“It was very good that you joined the movement!” exclaimed Pastor Eugenio Dela Peña, South Philippine Union Conference Regional Director, as he embraced the 49th batch missionaries in his introductory remarks. The HISM 3 (Here am I Send Me) offered the special music before Pastor Shin Dong Hee, 1000MM Director, gave his timely message. “If you and I will fully trust in Jesus as your Divine Leader, He will protect you from any issues and concerns of life…Jesus will never depart from you.” Pastor Shin vigorously enunciated these words of inspiration that surely etched to the hearts of the new missionaries. After hearing those powerful messages, together with unity in their hearts and minds, the missionaries stated their pledge of allegiance to God that “Once a Missionary, Always a Missionary!”
A new challenge was set before these young people who answered the call with enthusiasm and willingness. Such challenge that their commander had already assured them the victory as long as they submit everything to Him. “No retreat, No surrender” has become their invigorating motto in all aspects of life from then on, so do we.
